During last night’s Glee, Google Chrome released their much anticipated “It Gets Better” ad featuring the “It Gets Better” project. It got me thinking.
The difference between this video and others is that Google’s video really was an advertisement. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure no one else has done that before. It is important to get big business and good companies behind the message, but is it ok to turn the “It Gets Better” message into an advertisement? This really isn’t much different than cause marketing in the end, because this kind of ad just makes Google look better right?
What do you think about this? Are they capitalizing on this movement? Do you like the ad? Do you have a favourite ‘It Gets Better” video?

Love it Erika!
I’ve been working with youth groups a lot in recent years and I have been finding that gay topics and bullying go hand in hand. :(
To the teens out there currently dealing with bullies at home and at school; find someone you trust and tell them how you feel. It does get better. (so so better!) Pass on the word!
