Last week, we reported on the tragic suicide of a young (gay?) teen, Jamey Rodemeyer who took his life after being repeatedly bullied.
Apparently, his last post on his Facebook was an homage and thank you to Lady Gaga. “Don’t forget me when I come crying to heaven’s door,” a lyric from her song The Queen.
As she is quite known to do, Lady Gaga, responded, and yesterday at the iheartradio Festival sang a tribute to Jamey Rodemeyer, saying:
“So, I just wanted to take a minute, because, I don’t know if any of you know this, but we lost a little monster this week, and, I wanted to dedicate this song to him tonight because he was really young. If you would just look up on the screen for a moment. I wrote this record about how your identity is really all you’ve got when you are in school, you know. It’s called Hair. So tonight, Jamey, I know you are up there looking at us and you are not a victim, you’re a lesson to all of us. So tonight, I know its a bit of a downer, but the right thing is sometimes more important than the music isn’t it. Let’s do this one for Jamey.”

So happy to see her do something for little Jayme.
Paws up forever-
