Happy Halloween Music Lovers!

So since Halloween doesn’t fall on a Friday, we are here for you with a mid-week take on MVV to get you in the spirit! Here are our top ten spooky music videos to carry you from work and school to wherever tonight takes you – personally, I am breaking out my fishnet stockings and stilettos and getting my rice and toast ready for my favourite part of Halloween – Rocky Horror Picture show!

5. Backstreet Boys – Everybody

Yes, I know the Backstreet Boys are SO 1997 – but I can’t help myself.

4. Rocky Horror Picture Show – Time Warp

A Halloween staple!

3. Metric – Monster Hospital

I just love everything about this video.

2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Y Control

Okay. Kids are just scary. This video creeps me out every time, but it’s awesome. Good work Spike Jonze!

1. Michael Jackson – Thriller

This likely tops every best-of list, every year – but with good reason. This is the epitome of Halloween music videos, and timeless.

(Also, thanks MJ for adding that note at the beginning about not endorsing the occult – I feel better now.)

Hope these help get you in the spirit! And if you’re stuck for last-minute costume ideas, head on over to Caitlin’s piece on Halloween Costume Stereotypes for a few potentially embarrassing/awesome photos of Team Gaily!

Stop back on Friday for the regular version of MVV, so long as I don’t OD on half price candy before then!
