We are extremely proud, here at the Gaily, about the work we have already done and the love and support we have received from our friends, families, and complete strangers around the country. We are proud to be an independent lgbt voice in Canada that can talk about queer culture, sex, and politics in a refreshing, funny, and intelligent way.
It was my and Tyrone’s goal to create a new online space for Canadian queers, allies, and writers to get together to discuss and rethink sexuality and queer culture in a constructive and positive way, to tear down some of our own stereotypes, to be sex-positive, trans-positive, women-positive, and queer-positive and to steer clear of celebrity ragging, people-bashing, transphobia, misogyny, and simplistic, confining, and often violent language that we see around the internet on a daily basis.
Showing your support for an independent website like ours is very important, so we are inviting you to join us, meet us, and drink with us this Thursday May 26th at Brutopia in Montreal for our website launch and fundraiser. Help keep us going and ensure that we can keep bringing you fabulous articles and events in the future.
