Music Video Vendredi – Hercules and Love Affair’s ‘Painted Eyes’

EPHELIDE_HERCULES AND LOVE AFFAIR_Hercules_And_Love_Affair_02

My opinion:

“Painted Eyes” is the best song from Hercules and Love Affair‘s new album “Blue Songs”, although, I’m still in awe of what an instrumental  masterpiece “Blind” was and still is let’s be honest, that hit pretty much was their inauguration into what is now a gay cult-like following.  So turn it up and let us know what you think.

Paste Magazine’s opinion:

“The music the group is creating is as innovative as ever. Genre-rocking tracks like album opener “Painted Eyes” feature Negrot’s awe-inspiring vocals. Single “My House” brings back the catchy dance sound with a hook that’s impossible to dislodge.

Blue Songs pursues dance innovation by revisiting the past. There is still heavy disco influence, but much of the record seems to be inspired by the disco-related organic sounds of early Chicago house music. The industrial and mechanical sounds of Detroit techno greet them head on. It’s game-changing, but there’s much more to come.”
