Well HOLY SHIT my adrenalin levels just rose 100 notches. So, it’s that time again, you know , for the Olympics. That time for triumph and defeat a good ‘ol challenge of survival of the fittest. For this special occasion we enjoy a little something called competition and global patriotism. For the 2012 Olympics Muse’s “Survival” was chosen as the official song for the London games.

I guess “Survival,” can be deemed an appropriate anthem for this year’s Olympics especially with the attached video compilation driving fans to relive previous battles of athletic rejoice in slow-mo. But let’s just talk about the lyrics of this anxiety driven rock jam, are they too much? “Race, life’s a race / And I’m gonna win / Yes, I’m gonna win / And I light the fuse / And I’ll never lose / And I choose to survive”, it kinda seems likes one of those songs that make you believe you can take over the world. One more thing, are we sure this isn’t Queen rockin’ out?

Ok Canadian athletes, BREAK A LEG out there!
