Erika
|Executive Editor & Co-Founder| A mostly hippy and always hungry cultural critic, closeted pop-culture lover, and food know-it-all. Half cowgirl, half Ivy leaguer. You will find me writing on the crazy sh*t that happens on my teevee, feminism, philanthropy, religion and politics. I like singing shows, high-waisted skirts, scotch, two-stepping, and all forms of breakfast foods (sweet AND salty).

Kristi
Kristi
|Sex & Relationships Writer| I am a 20-something straight divorcee with a dirty mind and a loud mouth. I work for a non-profit organization that can appreciate my mad writing and policy development skills despite my outrageous TMI outbursts. I'm a feminist, a mother, a techno-phile, an avid and shameless sex blogger. I'm most often seen having sex or hunched over a computer, writing about sex. Or eating...I like eating.

Nikki
Nikki
|Montreal/Guelph Contributor| You'll find me rambling, ranting and raving about everything; from feminism and religion to relationships and fashion. I'm an avid procrastinator and full-time perfectionist. I have an obsession with semi-colons and use them irrationally. I love books, reading stuff on the internet, and writing everything down. Winter makes me cry and I always crave chocolate and the sun.

MAB
MAB
|Health Contributor| I’m the one your mother warned about. At 29-years old I managed to slough off the golden handcuffs of the federal public service to pursue a life of poverty (read: M.Sc. in Epidemiology) at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. I have a particular (academic) interest in sexually transmitted and blood borne infections. I enjoy planting my face in my kitties’ bellies and going *phtbpbptbpbtopbpt*, digital photography, cooking, and asking, “why?” Pet peeves include pseudoscience, wilful ignorance and bureaucratese. And before you ask, I’m sorry, I’m married. To a boy. *giggle*

My relationship with most things is abusive. I just hate them b/c I love them too much, you know? They make me so mad for not living up to their potential! This is what happens when one's soul is so big it becomes undifferentiated and totally disappears. (Ginger joke! It will become old in seconds, and yet remain on this bio for EVER.) I may have some penchant for both hyperbole and understatement. This serves me very well in social situations, by making it seem like I am always lying.

Cory

Immersed into the life of a professional student (or on the “five year” plan), I am currently studying (and employed) in the School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa while also being cuffed to a desk as a public servant. With experience and clinical practice in sexual health (“sexy health”), particularly sexually transmitted infections and HIV, I am usually found either writing about it in academic journals or bringing it up in the middle of dinner parties. I have an (uncontrollable) passion to travel and drink wine, and when I am not at a desk doing research or hashing papers out, I’m worrying about the larger issues in life: whether v-necks will be in next season or if President’s choice bacon will ever come in packages of 6.

Although I mostly write for children and young adults, I have a voice (or at least a comment) for all that is unjust. Regardless of the jobs I've held over the years (nurse, teacher, martial arts instructor, to name a few) one thing has stood out as I worked with children, adults, handicapped and refugees...teaching. Teaching people to treat others the way they wish to be treated. Teaching them to act with respect and to embrace the differences that make us all unique...which is why I've become a writer...because I can create a place where these values actually exist!
