It was a big deal when Brendan Burke came out in the largely homophobic sports world in 2009. When he died tragically in 2010, his father and brother picked up his torch and continue to push for change.
The “You Can Play” project has just that goal, to change attitudes and to build allies in and outside of change rooms. Brian and Patrick Burke, and eight other NHL players, are lending their voices to the campaign with this new video.
